A course for visual artists to develop their art practices and deepen their commitment to their creative work.
This is an online course to support you in making your most resonant work by developing your studio practice under the guidance of a seasoned professional artist (me!), and alongside a group of other passionate women artists devoted to honing their work.
In this course you’ll get to…
define what a studio practice means to you
set up an actual studio that works for your unique needs, interests, AND allows for experimentation
start and stick to a daily drawing practice that keeps the thread of your work going no matter what else is going on in your life
develop a clear sense of your canon — your sources of artistic inspiration and the why behind them
discover strategies to take care of and keep track of your work
become confident speaking and writing about your work
clarify how, where, and when you want your work to be seen
receive positive generative critique from other artists (and learn how to offer them yours)

Every theme we cover will come with assignments to solidify your understanding and propel you forward through application.

The Art Group
By Application, Now Taking Applications for 2025
An online community for women artists to share their ongoing work and receive generative critique over the course of an entire year.
There will be posted readings, cited exhibitions, and opportunities to exchange ideas and technical information — like how to apply for grants or technical tips for painting.
Aside from receiving ongoing support from me and other colleagues, you’ll also be encouraged to take adventurous risks in your work, challenge yourself, go deeper into your creative explorations, and more fully develop your path as an artist.
The Art Group begins in January and meets bi-weekly throughout the year. Priority is given to artists who have already taken my BUILD Your Studio Practice course.
